Something a little different and an ideal to display. Both of these TWO poems have been written by Charlie Bronson/Salvador, They are on A4 size double sided paper with one poem on each side. Charlie has decorated each page with lots of little doodles and drawings in pen.
Charles Arthur “Charlie” Salvador (formerly Charles Ali Ahmed; born Michael Gordon Peterson on 6 December 1952), better known as Charlie Bronson, is an English criminal who has been referred to in the British press as the “most violent prisoner in Britain” and “Britain’s most notorious prisoner”. He has spent periods detained in the Rampton, Broadmoor and Ashworth high-security psychiatric hospitals.
Bronson has written many books about his experiences and famous prisoners he has met throughout his incarceration. A self-declared fitness fanatic, who has spent many years in segregation (solitary confinement), Bronson dedicated a book to exercising in confined spaces. He is an outsider artist; Bronson’s paintings and illustrations of prison and psychiatric hospital life have been publicly exhibited and won him multiple awards.
The first poem reads:
I BELIEVE I MAY OF FOUND MYSELF
TODAY ON THE 4TH JUNE
I THINK I’VE FOUND THE KEY TO LIFE
I COULD BE CHANGING SOON
IM SICK OF EATING ANIMALS
COWS, PIGS, AND SHEEP
I’VE LOST COUNT ON CHICKENS
ITS CRUEL IT MAKES ME WEEP
I THINK I’VE FOUND THE ANSWER
SOON THE WORLD WILL SEE
PEACE AND LOVE AND HARMONY
IS GOING TO SET ME FREE
ALL MY LIFE A VIOLENT MAN
NO EXCUSES THAT WAS ME
A NASTY VICIOUS ROBBER
THEY THREW AWAY THE KEY
I GAVE MY PAULA A SHOCK
WHEN I CONFESSED HOW IFEEL
HERSELF AN ANIMAL RIGHTS
FOR HER IT’S THE PERFECT DEAL
ONLY MY WIFE KNOWS
WHAT IM SOON TO BECOME
THE PRISON IS MY MONASTRY
MY ROBE, MY SANDALS HAVE COME
BE KIND TO EVERY LIVING ANIMAL
LOVE LIFE
It is signed off with a full Charlie Salvador signature
The second poem reads:

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS
FOREVER ON THE MARCH
NO TIME FOR STOPPING
LIFE’S TOO SHORT
DUCK AND DIVE
BO AND WEAVE
ALL THE WAY

IT’S DEAD
LONG GONE
