Product Description

Laurie O’Leary was a  friend and business associate of all three Kray brothers. In 1963 he was asked to manage a part of the Kray twins Knightsbridge Club ‘Esmeralda’s Barn’ where as an agent  he booked groups and singers for the club. Although not a gangster himself, he maintained a strong relationship with both Ronnie, Reggie, and Charlie even after they were convicted in 1969,  becoming one of their closest friends. Born in London’s East End, Laurie had known the Kray family all his life, and worked for the twins until the 1960s. He remained close friends with Reggie and Ronnie, visiting them  both  in prisons up and down the country until his death on April 27th 2005.

This receipt was given to |Laurie  in1978 when he visited Reg Kray in HMP Parkhurst and gave him £10 to use in his prison canteen.
